A One-Eric Show

The Show

Here We Go. One Eric’s tale of living, learning and loving with brain cancer, or "how I learned to relax and love the tumor".

In early 2020, Eric Goldstein saw his doctor about a seemingly-routine vision problem and walked away with a diagnosis that would turn his life upside-down. Informed he had an aggressive brain cancer known as Glioblastoma, Eric was thrown into a world of procedures, experimental treatments and a sudden confrontation with his mortality.

A successful trial attorney and community theater stalwart in the Detroit region, Eric will be performing this “One-Eric” production reflecting on life, death, family, meaning and more. The production is being directed by a team of his friends and theatre colleagues.

The show will premiere on October 2, 2021 at 7pm EST on our YouTube Channel.

In lieu of tickets, we are asking for donations to the Henry Ford Hermelin Brain Tumor Center and  Henry Ford Health Systems Game On Cancer. This is a fund developed to help fight the financial toxicity families feel after a cancer diagnosis. 100 % of the proceed go toward the cause.

About

How it all started

After dealing with his diagnosis with both anger and optimism, Eric's friend, Sean, challenged him to write a script about the experience. And he gave him a deadline!

Never one to back away from a challenge, Eric nearly made that set deadline. And he knew he wanted to do something more with this one-man show that illustrated his journey over the last year.

Determined to share his story so that he may help others, he surrounded himself with friends and creatives in order to produce this unique script.. The meaningfulness of his journey touches everyone who has seen it.
